This has been a hard week for me. Tomorrow it will have been exactly a year since my mum passed away. I’ve been thinking about her all week long – simply missing her! :(
During this time of mourning and sadness, my girls have been amazing. I’ve been extremely lucky that the week has been extremely busy with all their doings, and so I’m not rocking in a corner about to be carted off. It’s good to keep busy.
Tuesday was our busiest day. I taught a group of ladies how to freezer paper stencil in the morning (so rewarding, and it looks like a couple of them have caught the “bug”!). Aimee had a chess tournament all day, and in the evening Briahna was singing with the Pukekohe Kids for Kids choir at the town hall. Busy, busy!

Aimee’s team came 2nd place overall! Woohoo!
Briahna sings her heart out (excuse the fuzzy photo we were sitting near the back!)
Not to forget Hope who got 97% in her Japanese exam and was chosen to become a part of the gifted and talented program. :D
Yes, I have smart and talented children, and I’m so proud of them!
Tomorrow, we are having granny day at our house. We will be eating KFC and pineapple lumps. The kid’s remember her getting them KFC for dinner when they stayed at her place and pineapple lumps, because they were her favourite! I’m thinking of getting everyone to tell/write something special they remember about her after dinner. My dad will be coming over too. It has been especially hard for him to lose his wife of almost 40 years. God, it’s been hard on all of us! :(
