About

Hi

I’ve been blogging for just over three years now.  It began with a little unknown blog (wotsitgonnabe) and became bigger when I truly realised what it really was going to be – sew-funky.  After 2 years over on blogger I decided it was time, time to buy a domain name!  Which finds me here.  Using wordpress for the first time, slightly challenged, but SO up-for-it!  I’m using wordpress because it enables me to have a super cool shop, that you, my wonderful blog reader can buy, cool stuff that I’ve made, in.

If life is a journey, its true also of writing a blog.  I’ve been through hard times (lots of those) and good times too.  Met new and interesting people, and found a great place to show off and learn new ways of being creative.

I hope to get to know you too!  Don’t be shy, take a look around, comment on some posts, put your feet up – let’s have some fun. :)

I found your swifer cover pattern and have made one. Since I knit tight I used #8 needles instead of your recommended #7 needles. Was wondering how it should be sewn together as you didn’t really say how. I used a single crochet to join the pockets and across to other pocket, as I felt it made it sturdy as well as gave shape to center section. Was wondering, as I followed your picture which way should th pockets turn. Following the picture it seemed to make it fold against it’s will and put the design right side facing the sweeper not out towards floor. Was wondering if one more #2 row making 28 rows not 27 before binding might be better, though I followed your pattern to the letter. Also I think you should have used () around the (yo, k 2 tog) X3, as this designates that you are to do what is in the () 3 times before going on. I tried my completed cover on a swifer and it fit, so was pleased with the results. I hope I haven’t offended you with my comments but do hope you respond answering my questions. Thank you in advance for your time to respond.
