Funny how ideas change and transform into new and interesting things…
I was wearing one of my cute new little wristlets out op-shopping yesterday, when a woman came up to me and asked me if I was a professional seamstress. (I wish.) I must’ve looked at her blankly weirdly and she pointed to my wristlet, which she thought was a pincushion.
And right there and then, a most wonderful idea was born and blossomed into…
What do you think? Most awesome, eh!!
And if you want, now you can own your very own, by purchasing one from my etsy store…
They’re only $5, so a bit of a bargain!
Gotta love crafting… :D
okay, so it didn’t make me that late! I just got carried away and before I knew it, it was 2.45pm…
The doll nappies fit a cabbage patch doll and are ever so sweet! I thought I would make some for Briahna’s dolls and I might even put some in my etsy store…
The crayon wraps are a new design I came up with today. The crayon’s slip into the pockets and underneath the top and then are rolled up and tied. :) They look great, I just have to get some photographs taken with the crayons inside and I’ll hopefully have them in my store by tomorrow.
I would have liked to have added them to the store today, but I’m out tonight at a movie screening of Confessions of a Shopaholic. :)
I’ve now loaded up a couple of my buttonlet bracelets up on etsy… Made with buttons from my extensive button collection, they always get comments when I’m out!
Go check it out, it sure is nice to be “noticed”. Better yet, buy the card! ;)
Just to let you know, my Etsy store is now up and running and I have already sold my first item! Presently I have only listed my retro cards, but will be selling dishcloths, bibs and other lovely stuff in the very near future!
Oh, and if you head over right now, I’ve got a SALE on all my cards, going out the door for $1.50 each!
So, I promised that I’d post about this last week, but life got on top of me and my husband totaled his work car, so… here we are, and I think I can finally share some about what it was all like and share a few photographs along the way!
The day started out cold, it couldn’t decide whether to be sunny or not, but at least it wasn’t raining (or snowing! – it snowed the next Saturday!!!).
I packed bib’s, dishcloths, oven gloves and cards in my suitcase and ended up selling $41 worth of things (mainly bib’s and a few oven gloves!).
It was so much fun and I LOVED getting feedback from people on their thoughts on my crafts. And now I have the money to open up my etsy store – so keep an eye on the blog for more news on that front.
